Maichen is a word that means, “from my mother’s kitchen,” referring age-old recipes, traditions, and ways handed down from generation to generation.
For me, this journey began when guests who dined with us at home always asked if they could take home some of our pickles and spices. And always came back for more! We realized there was no better way to honour our ancestors and keep traditions alive than by making these delightful accompaniments available to all connoisseurs of authentic soul cooking.
